The conference, taking place from November 11 to 13, marks the first time Saudi Arabia is hosting this event. It aims to foster knowledge-sharing and best practices, addressing both theoretical and practical aspects of humanitarian efforts. The focus is on supporting the international movement’s initiatives to restore family connections for individuals who are separated and to assist their families.
The conference will include meetings among representatives from national societies, ICRC missions, and the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies.

Additionally, there will be an introduction to the “Shawafat” platform, which is dedicated to reuniting families.
Sessions will also cover the identification of needs and potential solutions for families of displaced and missing persons. Additional topics include protecting individuals through the safeguarding of personal data, as well as the principles and tools used in family links protection programs.
