The Saudi Red Crescent Authority (SRCA) is showcasing cutting-edge medical vehicles at the Hajj Conference and Exhibition in Jeddah. These innovations aim to enhance emergency response and healthcare services for pilgrims during Hajj.
Advanced Ambulances and Spider Motorcycles
SRCA has introduced advanced 4×4 ambulances connected to control centers, improving response times and medical services. These vehicles are designed to navigate challenging terrains, ensuring prompt assistance to pilgrims in need.
The authority unveiled Spider motorcycles equipped for swift deployment in emergencies, especially in crowded areas of Makkah and Madinah. These motorcycles carry essential medical devices, including oxygen cylinders and immobilization splints, to address emergencies like asthma attacks and cardiac arrests.
SRCA introduced the Middle East’s first amphibious vehicle capable of navigating rugged terrain, water, and muddy areas. This vehicle can transport two patients and six additional people, operating continuously for up to 19 hours. It has begun service in Riyadh, Makkah, and other regions, enhancing rescue operations across diverse environments.
SRCA’s Commitment to Pilgrim Safety
In addition to these vehicles, SRCA has deployed over 2,500 medical professionals, ambulance technicians, and administrative staff across various regions. This deployment ensures comprehensive medical support for pilgrims during the Hajj season.
The Hajj Conference and Exhibition runs until January 16, providing a platform for showcasing innovations aimed at improving pilgrim safety and services.
