Saudi Producer Offers Magnificent Digital Show for Pearl Diving

Saudi Arabian producer Farah Al-Ibrahim will premiere its new digital art show “Pearls of emotions” at the Theater of Digital Art in Dubai.

Set to kick off on December 2, the show dives into the rich history of pearl diving in the Gulf and offers an untapped perspective on the region’s cultural heritage.

Great Significance

Presented by her production company Artellosa, the “Pearls of emotions” stresses the importance of recognizing the Gulf’ s heritage and showcasing it to the international audience.

“I feel it’s in my DNA to talk about pearls and our relationship to the sea. But knowing this culture and keeping it in our hearts is not enough. We need to preserve it and reflect it to international audiences,” she said.

Interestingly, the show boasts an exceptional musical core offering an exceptional blend between traditional Gulf melodies and catchy contemporary sounds. Therefore, it promises an unmissable experience for visitors from all over the world.

New Perspective

Al-Ibrahim explained that a lot of people have a stereotype that Gulf’s civilization started only when oil money entered the region which is not true. That is why the region’s people bear the reasonability for changing such perspectives and shaping new ideas mirroring the richness of the Gulf’s culture.

“We have the need and duty to change that perspective and reflect the beauty and richness of our culture,” she said.

The Story

The show follows the story of a bride who bids farewell to her husband days after their marriage as she embarks on a pearl diving journey. Moreover, it consists of seven parts revolving around several emotions such as love, resilience, strength, pride, and others.

Uneasy Process

To create this magnificent imagery, Al-Ibrahim relied on artificial intelligence technologies. In the light of this, she indicated that the process was not that easy as AI databases are not fully versed with data from the Arab world.

In order to tackle such a challenge, Al-Ibrahim depended on her family who have a deep history of in the trade. Consequently, she collected further information about ships, sailors and diving experiences. Therefore, she inserted it to AI programs and create a depiction of these stories.
