Red Sea Global earned the PADI global rating for its two diving centers which serve people with disabilities, becoming the first and only of its kind in the Kingdom.
Executive Director of Destination Development for Red Sea Global, Rosanna Chopra, recognized the PADI the world’s largest ocean exploration and divers organization. Moreover, Chopra pointed out that the company aligns with its mission to create one billion torchbearers for ocean exploration and protection.
This achievement confirms that all diving rules, including infrastructure, logistics, communication methods, training and safety measures, are comprehensive and suitable for all divers. Earning this rating means that Red Sea Global is now able to provide comprehensive diving experiences to all its visitors.
The rating requires that each center have PADI instructors for technologies prepared for the people of determination. It also requires that wheelchair users can access to all areas, including the diving area and any boats used.
Red Sea Global has two 5-star PADI diving centers, which are operated by Galaxea, a subsidiary of Red Sea Global, specializing in providing diving experiences in aspirational destinations.
All Galaxea trainers participated in three days of theoretical and practical training in the swimming pool and open water. They used mesh swimming gloves to experience diving with limited mobility. Moreover, they wore an opaque mask to experience diving with visual impairment. They also had training on how to guide divers who suffer from these types of disabilities.
Red Sea Global, wholly owned by the Public Investment Fund, aims to create exciting opportunities for young Saudi talent. It focuses on responsible tourism industry.
