The Saudi national team started its participation in the Beach Games of the Third Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) hosted by the Sultanate of Oman, according to the Saudi Press Agency.
The Bahraini national team has defeated the Saudi team by two halves to one in the beach handball event.
The Saudi delegation includes 50 players competing in seven beach sports, as follows:
- Beach soccer
- Handball
- Volleyball
- Swimming
- Paragliding
- Athletics
The official opening ceremony is set to take place today evening, April 5, at Qurum Natural Park in Muscat.
Interestingly, the ceremony will host artistic and cultural performances that deeply mirror the essence of Gulf identity.
