Saudi Arabia is taking part in the International Publishing and Book Fair 2026 in Rabat, showcasing a vibrant cultural movement and a rich literary landscape.
The Saudi Literature, Publishing and Translation Commission has inaugurated the Kingdom’s pavilion at the book fair’s 31st edition, running from May 1-10, 2026, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

On this occasion, the Commission’s CEO, Abdullatif Alwasel, emphasized that Saudi Arabia’s participation in the event underscores the depth of cultural and historical ties between the Kingdom and Morocco.
It also introduces Arab audiences to the contemporary Saudi literary and intellectual movement, driven by Vision 2030, he added.
Furthermore, Alwasel noted that the Kingdom aims to support Saudi writers and publishers, unlocking new horizons for the publishing sector. He said that the International Publishing and Book Fair 2026 in Rabat serves as a vital platform for fostering cultural dialogue and knowledge exchange.

Led by the Literature Commission, the Saudi pavilion features several government and cultural bodies, such as the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, the King Fahd Quran Printing Complex, the King Abdulaziz Public Library, Princess Nourah University, and the King Salman Global Academy for the Arabic Language.

It also hosts the Arab Observatory for Translation, the Ministry of Justice, and the Saudi Cultural Mission in Rabat, providing a comprehensive view of the Kingdom’s cultural landscape.
Moreover, the pavilion hosts a rich cultural program, including a series of panel discussions, poetry evenings, and workshops featuring Saudi and Moroccan writers and creative thinkers. These discussions tackle issues related to literature, publishing and translation, in addition to highlighting Saudi Arabia’s cultural achievements and their regional and global impact.
