Saudi Investment Minister Meets Egyptian PM, Officials in New Alamein
The Saudi Minister of Investment, Eng. Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al-Falih, met with several Egyptian officials in New Alamein City, during a two-day visit to Egypt.
According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), Al-Falih met Thursday with the Egyptian Prime Minister, Mostafa Madbouly, in the presence of the Saudi Ambassador to Egypt, Saleh bin Eid Al-Husseini, and several Egyptian officials.
Strengthening Relations
During the meeting, the Saudi Investment Minister underlined the Kingdom and Egypt’s keenness on enhancing bilateral relations across all fields.

He noted that Saudi Arabia is the largest investor in Egypt, and aspires to increase these investments by encouraging Saudi investors to expand their existing investments in Egypt.
Moreover, Al-Falih commended the Egyptian government efforts to support Saudi investments.
Prioritizing Cooperation
Meanwhile, the Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly emphasized the depth of strategic relations between Saudi Arabia and Egypt, expressing his country’s keenness on advancing bilateral relations on all levels.
Furthermore, he confirmed that both countries are working to increase joint investments, prioritizing cooperation that aim to deliver this outcome.

Madbouly also mentioned Egypt’s efforts to address most of the problems facing Saudi investors in Egypt, through collaboration with the Saudi Embassy that played a pivotal role in this regard.
The Egyptian Prime Minister pointed to the investment protection and promotion agreement, stressing the government’s eagerness to finalize the agreement which will significantly contribute to increasing joint investments.
Promoting Investment
On Thursday, the Saudi Minister of Investment met with the Egyptian Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Development Affairs and Minister of Industry and Transport, Eng. Kamel El-Wazir, in New Alamein City.

They discussed cooperation prospects between both countries and ways to promote investments in the sectors of industry, transport and logistics.
Investment Expansion
During his two-day visit to Egypt, Al-Falih met on Wednesday with Egypt’s Minister of Planning, Economic Development, and International Cooperation, Dr. Rania A. Al-Mashat, in New Alamein City.

Both officials explored ways to enhance bilateral relations and partnerships in the field of investment.
Also on Wednesday, the Saudi Investment Minister met with Egypt’s Deputy Prime Minister for Human Development Affairs and Minister of Health and Population, Khaled Abdel Ghaffar.

They discussed ways to strengthen and expand cooperation and attract investors to the Egyptian health sector.
Saudi Ambassador to Egypt, Saleh bin Eid Al-Husseini, attended the meetings.
