Saudi GAMI Participates in Farnborough International Airshow 2024
The Saudi General Authority for Military Industries (GAMI) is participating in the Farnborough International Airshow 2024 in London, the UK, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
The GAMI participation aims to showcase the Kingdom’s efforts to sustain national military manufacturing capabilities, ultimately localizing this sector to become a key contributor and a major supporter of the growth of the Saudi economy, hence enhancing its defense and security independence.
Furthermore, GAMI aims to display the potentials of the Saudi military and defense industries sector, as well as the Authority’s accomplishments in building industrial and service capacities in Saudi Arabia, in line with its strategic goal of localizing more than 50% of the Kingdom’s spending on military equipment and services by 2030.
GAMI welcomes investors from around the world to invest in this promising sector. Through its participation in the Farnborough International Airshow 2024, it highlights the supply chains it has developed for local and foreign small and medium businesses.
This comes as part of GAMI’s efforts to provide investment opportunities in the Kingdom’s military industries sector, in addition to enhancing international partnerships to achieve strategic independence for military industries.
Moreover, GAMI’s participation is one of the accelerated steps taken towards developing and localizing the military industries sector and boosting investment opportunities.
The Farnborough International Airshow (FIA) 2024 takes place from July 22 – 26, 2024, in Hampshire, London. It hosts leading innovators from the aerospace, aviation and defense industries.
FIA 2024 focuses on six key themes that promote the aerospace industry: Space, Defense, Sustainability, Innovation, Future Flight, and Workforce.
It features 1,262 exhibitors from 44 countries; 250 civil, military and space delegations; 74,780 visitors from 102 countries; 27 international country pavilions; and wide media coverage.
