Saudi Foreign Affairs Minister visits Tunis, meets President Kais Saied

Tunisian President Kais Saied received on Friday Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah.

In a tweet on his Twitter account, the Saudi foreign minister said that during the meeting, he reiterated “the Kingdom’s position in support of Tunisia’s security and stability, and standing by everything that achieves prosperity and prosperity for the brothers in Tunisia.”

For its part, the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that during the reception, the Minister of Foreign Affairs conveyed the greetings of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Saudi Crown Prince to Kais Saied and the brotherly Tunisian government and people, while the Tunisian President conveyed his greetings and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince, and the government and people of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

During the meeting, they reviewed the current situation in Tunisia, and the decisions are taken by President Said “aimed at stabilizing the situation in Tunisia, especially the health and economic situation.”

According to the Saudi Foreign Ministry, the President of Tunisia valued the Kingdom’s “permanent standing with his country”, and the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ response to his request, which he made during his call with the Crown Prince, and the allocation of medical materials to the Republic of Tunisia to help combat the Corona pandemic.

He stressed that “the Tunisian people will never forget the gift of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which once again consolidates the strength and depth of the historical relations that exist between the two brotherly countries and peoples.”

The President of the Republic also affirmed his commitment to bearing the trust and responsibility of protecting the Tunisian state and confronting all attempts to strike and fragment it.

For his part, the Saudi Foreign Minister stressed during the reception that “the Kingdom respects everything related to the Tunisian internal affairs and considers it a sovereign matter, reiterating the Kingdom’s support for everything that supports the security and stability of the sisterly Tunisian Republic.”

The Minister of Foreign Affairs also “renewed the Kingdom’s confidence in the Tunisian leadership to overcome these conditions and to achieve a decent life and prosperity for the brotherly Tunisian people,” reiterating the Kingdom’s support for Tunisia in all that supports its security and stability and in facing the challenges it faces.

Last Monday, Prince Faisal bin Farhan received a phone call from the Tunisian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration, and Tunisians Abroad Othman Al-Jarandi.

During the call, they reviewed the brotherly relations linking the two countries and ways to support and enhance them in various fields. Prince Faisal bin Farhan was also briefed on the latest developments and developments in the Tunisian Republic.

During the call, the Minister of Foreign Affairs affirmed the Kingdom’s keenness on the security, stability, and prosperity of the sisterly Republic of Tunisia and supports everything that would achieve this.

On Tuesday, Saudi Arabia affirmed its support for everything that supports Tunisia’s security and stability, stressing its confidence in the Tunisian leadership to overcome these circumstances. It also called on the international community to stand by Tunisia in these circumstances to face its health and economic challenges.
