Saudi Crown Prince, HRH Mohammed bin Salman directed all Saudi government agencies to provide any additional support to Qatar in hosting the World Cup.
Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, Minister of Sports, announced today, Sunday, that Prince Mohammed bin Salman directed all ministries, agencies, and government agencies in the Kingdom to provide any additional support or facilities needed by counterparts in Qatar, to support its efforts to host the 2022 World Cup.
According to the Ministry of Sports, the Minister of Sports will follow up on this and report it to the Crown Prince as soon as possible.
It is noteworthy that Prince Mohammed bin Salman arrived early this morning in Qatar to attend the opening ceremony of the World Cup, accompanied by the Kingdom’s ministers of energy, interior, foreign affairs, trade, and investment, in addition to other senior officials, including his national security advisor and head of the National Guard, according to SPA.
Qatar will host the World Cup finals for the first time in its history and the history of the Arab region. The World Cup started today and will continue until December 18.
