Saudi-Croatian agreement to establish joint business council
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Croatia agreed to establish a joint Saudi-Croatian business council under the umbrella of the Federation of Saudi Chambers.
It is concerned with opening new areas of economic cooperation and facilitating continuous interaction between the business sectors of the two countries.
According to a statement via the official Saudi News Agency, “SPA”, this came during a meeting with the former President of the Republic of Croatia, Kolinda Grabar, and her accompanying delegation today, with Saudi business owners, at the headquarters of the Federation of Saudi Chambers in Riyadh.
The former President of Croatia expressed her country’s desire to sign an economic cooperation agreement with the Kingdom and to expand areas of trade and investment cooperation.
She noted the prospects for partnership between the two countries and the opportunities available in the sectors of renewable energy, transport, infrastructure, tourism, and real estate.
The Saudi and Croatian companies called for greater cooperation, which would contribute to raising the level of economic relations between the two countries.
The President of the Federation of Saudi Chambers, Hassan bin Mujib Al-Huwaizi, said that Croatian companies have great investment opportunities in the Kingdom in the sectors targeted in Vision 2030, especially renewable energy, tourism, and real estate.
Noting that the volume of trade exchange between the two countries grew by 198% to reach 533 million riyals in 2021, calling for finding new cooperation mechanisms that contribute to stimulating investment opportunities between the two countries.
