The Saudi Business Center (SBC) has launched the 2nd phase of Unified QR-Code service to boost the attractiveness of the business environment in the Kingdom, reported the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
The current phase includes 120 licenses linked to the QR-Code document affiliated with nine government agencies.
As part of a promising initiative launched by the SBC last January, the 2nd phase allows businesses to consolidate all licenses and certificates from concerned government partners into a single online document.
Furthermore, it enables consumers to easily view and verify the data of basic facilities and their operational licenses. As a result, the time spent on monitoring and inspection processes will be reduced, and the exploitation of data for manipulation and forgery will be greatly limited.
SBC has strengthened the second phase by linking electronic systems with the several ministries and authorities across the Kingdom, including:
- Health Ministry
- Tourism Ministry
- General Authority for Media Regulation
- General Authority for Food and Drug
- Saudi Red Sea Authority
- General Authority for Food Security
- General Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises
- Hajj and Umrah Ministry
- General Organization for Social Insurance.
This strategic move fosters data reliability, simplifies future updates, and reduces the hustle resulting from obligating establishments to display their records and permits at headquarters and branches.
After verifying the valid commercial register, and obtaining municipal licenses for commercial activities, business owners can generate the unified QR-Code via the SBC’s Business platform at https://www.saudibusiness.gov.sa/
