Ministry of Industry, Mineral Resources Boosts Non-Profit Role
The Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources has enhanced the role of the non-profit sector in supporting the industry and mining sectors by launching new electronic services.
Moreover, this is part of achieving the objectives of the National Industry Strategy and Saudi Vision 2030.
The ministry clarified that it has developed an operational plan for 2024 that includes six main objectives to enhance the role of the non-profit sector in industry and mining. Moreover, these objectives include improving the skills and competencies of the workforce in the sector, increasing investments in the Kingdom. They also provides services, promotes the development of non-oil industrial exports, among other services.
The ministry currently oversees five associations, including the Pharmaceutical Industries Association, the Supply Chain and Procurement Association, the Industrial Exporters Association, the Loss Prevention and Industrial Risk Management Association, and the Automotive Manufacturers and Supply Chains Association. Furthermore, these associations play crucial roles in supporting the industrial and mining sectors through studies and research, capacity building, awareness, networking and coordination, among other activities.
