Saudi Arabia’s national bodybuilding team has achieved a historical success securing the third place at the World Bodybuilding Championship, reported the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
Held from September 23 to 28 in Kish Island, Iran, the competition highlighted the participation of 65 nations around the world.
The Saudi team won 27 medals, including seven gold, six silver, and 14 bronze.
The gold medalists are the following athletes:
- Yousef Al-Naimi
- Ahmed Al-Tasan
- Mubarak Al-Zanan
- Khaled Khan
- Talal Househ
- Hussein Al-Hammadi
- Ahmed Maghrabi
Six athletes have won the silver medals, as follows:
- Naif Al-Namshan
- Osama Majli
- Mohammed Abdul-Jabbar
- Ali Abu Al-Makarem
- Yousef Al-Naimi
- Aqeel Al-Jaafari
The bronze medalists are the following champions:
- Waleed Al-Dosari
- Jassim Darwish
- Ramadan Hawsa
- Ahmed Al-Harbi
- Hamdan Al-Ghamdi
- Abdulaziz Al-Muhandis
- Rayan Al-Shalali
- Mahmoud Al-Dubais

The president of the Saudi Arabian Weightlifting and Bodybuilding Federation, Ayman Mohammad Al-Rashed, has congratulated the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and his Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on this remarkable milestone.
Moreover, Al-Rashed expressed sincere gratitude to the Minister of Sport and the President of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee (SOPC), Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki bin Faisal, for his unwavering support to Saudi sports.
The president also shed light on the Saudi team’s extraordinary performance and their victory over top international athletes.
