Saudi Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Alkhorayef has embarked on several visits to major American companies in various industrial and mining sectors.

According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the Minister visited various US aerospace companies such as JetZero, a company specializing in aviation, and SpaceX, the aerospace giant, in California.

Important Visit to JetZero

During his visit to JetZero, Alkhorayef met with the company’s Founder and CTO Mark Page and discussed possible partnerships in the aviation sector.

Both officials also delved into how to develop the local supply chains for aviation components and how to make use of Saudi Arabia’s mineral resources.

Established in 2018 in Long Beach, California, JetZero has set a bold objective to develop aircraft with an innovative design, known as “Blended Wing Body.” It basically aims to achieve high fuel efficiency and significantly reduce emissions.

The company’s mission concentrates on becoming a global leader in sustainable aviation by designing cutting-edge aircraft that consume up to 50% less fuel than conventional aircraft.

Therefore, they will be able to greatly decrease the carbon footprint of the aviation sector.

JetZero always receives unwavering supports and funds from prestigious entities such as the US Air Force and NASA, as well as investments from airlines such as Alaska Airlines.
