Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Culture has launched the UK–KSA Arabian Peninsula Cultural Research Fellowships to advance archival-based research, according to the Saudi Press Agency.
In partnership with Effat University and the UK National Archives, the fellowships seek to elevate scholarship on the Arabian Peninsula and foster collaboration between academic and cultural institutions in Saudi Arabia and the United Kingdom.
The programme features a 10-week research residency at the UK National Archives, where participants receive hands-on training in archival methodologies and access to a vast array of archival collections and cultural institutions across the UK.
It also supports a wide spectrum of research focused on the cultural heritage of the Arabian Peninsula.
Crucially, the initiative perfectly aligns with the Ministry of Culture’s strategic vision for developing cultural research, highlighting its dedication to reinforcing both local and international collaboration and strengthening meaningful cultural exchange.
The fellowship welcomes researchers and cultural heritage specialists who are capable of conducting independent research in English, irrespective of their professional level.
