Saudi Arabia has chosen to allow two vaccinated with the Russian “Sputnik V” to enter the country as of January 1, 2022, according to the Russian Fund for Direct Investments.
The fund said in a statement that with this move, Saudi Arabia joins the 102 nations where “Sputnik V” vaccine recipients are allowed to travel and that the decision was preceded by the fund’s active collaboration with the kingdom’s health and investment ministries.
The Saudi decision, according to the statement, will allow believers to perform the Hajj and Umrah.
Those who have been vaccinated with “Sputnik V” would be subjected to a 48-hour quarantine and a PCR test once they enter Saudi land, he explained.
