Saudi Arabia Presents Its Strategy Including 75 New Initiatives at ISESCO
The Saudi National Committee for Education, Culture, and Science presented the general strategy for the Saudi National Committee for Education, Culture, and Science’s membership in the Islamic Educational, Cultural, and Scientific Organization (ISESCO). The provisions of the strategy will be implemented between 2023 and 2025.
The strategy was presented by Dr. Saleh Al-Qasoumi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education for International Cooperation, and Ahmed Al-Bleihad, Secretary-General of the Saudi National Committee for Education, Culture, and Science, under the supervision, guidance, and blessing of HRH Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan, Minister of Culture and Chairman of the National Committee for Education, Science, and Culture.
The strategy was presented on the sidelines of the 43rd session of the Executive Council of ISESCO, which was held in Rabat, Morocco, on December 23 and 24.
The strategy centered on activating Saudi Arabia’s strategic presence in the organization included five main lists. The first addressed the strategic goal of joining ISESCO, the second the “future outlook,” the third 75 initiatives, and the fourth 14 partnerships between Saudi authorities and the organization. The fifth section included four recommendations.
Supporting ISESCO
The strategy’s “main objective” is to assist ISESCO in serving the Islamic world by strengthening its education, culture, science, information, and communication efforts.
The strategy’s “future vision” was divided into four parts: improving the efficiency of financial support allocated to the organization, presenting Saudi awards in the organization’s fields of work, activating its regional and international role with the participation of Saudi experts, and finally, increasing participation in programs and initiatives through strategic partnerships in the organization’s sectors with relevant local authorities.
