As Saudi Arabia continues to make bold strides toward Vision 2030, cultivating human capabilities remains the centerpiece of its transformation agenda.
This vision for education extends beyond expanding access; it is about empowering the Kingdom’s exceptional talent through partnerships that chart a clear path between gifted students and world-class academic institutions.
A Shared Vision
In line with this ambition, the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba) has signed a strategic partnership with the University of New Haven – Riyadh, supporting gifted students across secondary and higher education through a vast array of academic and enrichment initiatives.
Launched to broaden academic opportunities for gifted students, the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aligns seamlessly with Saudi Vision 2030’s objectives to enhance human capabilities and unleashes new horizons for national talent.
The MoU was signed in the presence of Mawhiba Secretary-General Abdulaziz Al-Karidis and the University of New Haven’s Senior Vice President, Dr. Leo Lester, underscoring both institutions’ commitment to empowering the next generation of the Kingdom’s leaders.
Expanding Pathways to Academic Excellence
Under the partnership, the two entities will collaborate to launch a wide range of academic and summer programs for gifted students across Saudi Arabia, spanning both secondary and higher education.
More importantly, the partnership envisions a dedicated academic pathway for outstanding members of the Mawhiba community enrolled at the University of New Haven – Riyadh. This initiative further reinforces the Kingdom’s support for high-achieving students as they pursue academic excellence.
A Gateway to International Academic Excellence
To add a global dimension to the collaboration, the agreement charts pathways for exceptional Mawhiba students to pursue summer and study programs at the University of New Haven’s main campus in the United States.
Complemented by specialized training and professional development initiatives, these opportunities seek to cultivate globally minded graduates, preparing them to drive innovation and contribute to Saudi Arabia transformational agenda.
A New Era of International Education
The partnership also underscores the University of New Haven – Riyadh’s growing role in Saudi Arabia’s higher education landscape.
As the first university to secure approval to establish an international branch campus in the Kingdom, offers a portfolio of U.S.-accredited programs tailored to the rapidly evolving needs of Saudi Arabia’s workforce, equipping graduates with internationally recognized qualifications.
