Al-Safa Park: Discover the Green Pulse of Najran’s Outdoor Revival

As Saudi Arabia advances its Vision 2030 ambitions to build greener, more livable cities, public parks are evolving into vibrant spaces that strengthen recreation while promoting environmental sustainability.

Reflecting this transformation, Al-Safa Park has emerged as one of Najran’s premier recreational destinations.

The Green Heart of Najran

Nestled on the western side of the city and framed by captivating mountain scenery, Al‑Safa Park offers a year-round escape where residents and visitors can enjoy the perfect harmony of nature and leisure.

Stretching across 109,662 square meters, the park provides visitors with immersive experiences within a welcoming atmosphere and an expansive green landscape where roughly 56,513 square meters are devoted to flourishing vegetation.

Enriching the local ecosystem, the park is home to more than 1,200 trees, shrubs, and palm trees, reflecting Najran Municipality‘s ongoing efforts to cultivate greener urban environments and align with the ambitious objectives of sustainable development.

What Awaits Visitors at Al-Safa Park?

Whether visitors seek recreation, relaxation, or outdoor exercise, Al-Safa Park is designed to welcome all ages. For children, they can explore a vast array of playgrounds, while fitness enthusiasts can benefit from outdoor exercise equipment, and families can enjoy a scenic waterfall and shaded family seating area.

A network of pedestrian walkways, extending across 40,760 square meters, links all the park’s attractions, including the waterfall, shaded family gathering spaces, a community center, and visitor services.

As night falls, 203 decorative lighting poles illuminate the landscape, creating a welcoming and secure atmosphere.

How Is Najran Shaping the Future of Public Spaces?

According to Najran Municipality spokesperson Abdullah Al-Fadel, the development of public parks and gardens has been placed among the Municipality’s top priorities—strengthening the city’s urban landscape and enhancing residents’ quality of life.

He added that these projects are envisioned as integrated recreational destinations designed to meet community needs while offering safe, accessible, and welcoming public spaces.

Reflecting on the park’s growing appeal, Al-Fadel also noted that Al-Safa Park has emerged as an outstanding destination for tourism and leisure, blending natural landscapes with contemporary recreational facilities.

He underscored the municipality’s commitment to the park’s ongoing development, emphasizing that protecting its environmental integrity and aesthetic value is crucial to ensuring its sustainability for future generations.
