Saudi Arabia aims to run self-employment programs in 2022
During the year 2022, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development plans to train and qualify 3,000 job seekers in the subject of occupational safety and health, and then place them in the labor market.
According to official data obtained by Al-Arabiya.net, the ministry stated in its goals for 2022 that it seeks to administer and encourage the flexible work platform, as well as operate self-employment and remote work programs.
To improve the maturity and culture of performance management in government agencies, the ministry plans to convert to job performance management.
Meanwhile, the ministry announced the localization of 20 professions and activities across a variety of industries, as well as the establishment of over 378,000 job openings for job seekers by 2021.
According to the ministry, it has been able to provide job possibilities to over 10,000 social security claimants who can work.
Saudi Arabia released its budget for 2022 yesterday, with spending of 955 billion riyals and income of 1045 billion riyals, with a surplus of up to 90 billion riyals.
Ministry of Human Resources was able to employ Saudis in the first half of this year, exceeding the objective of self-employment by 140 percent by issuing 8,140 work documents, which had a beneficial impact on organizing and boosting self-employment in the kingdom by providing job possibilities for Saudis, the Kingdom benefits.
