The National Museum in Riyadh is currently hosting the 8th edition of the Joint Archaeological Exhibition of the Arab Gulf States, according to the Saudi Press Agency.
Set to run until December 30, the exhibition traces the evolution of human civilization in the region across successive eras.

Through a wide range of artifacts, the exhibition charts the Stone Age and the advent of metallurgy in the third millennium BC, as well as the pre-Islamic period and the region’s influential role in the rise and spread of the Islamic world.

It also features stone and pottery tools, inscriptions, early writings, artworks, architectural elements, jewelry, and everyday objects, providing visitors with a vivid window into the region’s cultural and historical evolution.

The Joint Archaeological Exhibition of the Arab Gulf States is organized by the Heritage Commission, in cooperation with the National Museum and the Museums Commission and in strategic partnership with the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council.

Therefore, the event further boosts the region’s cultural identity on both regional and international stages and supports the long-term sustainability of joint Gulf cooperation in the cultural sphere.
The exhibition will also feature daily programs and interactive activities that harness digital technologies and modern media, offering visitors a contemporary learning experience that re-creates historical moments and enriches their understanding of the Arabian Peninsula’s civilizational journey.
