Riyadh Hosts Two-State Solution Talks, Saudi Pushes for Palestinian State Timeline
The Saudi capital, Riyadh, will host on Wednesday the first meeting of the “International Coalition for the Implementation of the Two-State Solution,” with the participation of over 90 countries, in addition to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA). Moreover, the meeting aims to explore pathways leading to the establishment of a Palestinian state.
Palestinian Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Bassem Al-Agha told Asharq: “The convening of the first meeting of the international coalition to implement the two-state solution gives Palestinians hope, after the destruction and killing, in confronting those who plan to erase Palestinian rights.”
Al-Agha affirmed the Palestinian government’s commitment to the Arab Peace Initiative and all international legitimacy resolutions, expressing confidence in the Saudi initiative, “which will play a major role in achieving the two-state solution, despite the occupation and its statements.”
