Riyadh Hosts 4th International Fisheries Exhibition Featuring 120 Foreign Firms

The fourth edition of the International Fisheries Exhibition kicked off today in Riyadh under the patronage of the Minister of Environment, Water, and Agriculture, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Program for the Development of the Livestock and Fisheries Sector, Eng. Abdulrahman bin Abdulmohsen Al-Fadhli.

International Fisheries Exhibition

Eng. Al-Mushaiti inaugurated the exhibition, which is being held at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center and will continue until February 5. During his tour of the exhibition booths, he explored the latest technological innovations and advancements presented by both local and international companies, reflecting the newest developments in aquaculture, fisheries, seafood industries, and related sectors.

Dr. Ali bin Mohammed Al-Sheikhi, Assistant Undersecretary for Livestock and Fisheries at the Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture, stated that the opening ceremony witnessed the signing of several agreements between government entities and private sector companies, with expected investments exceeding two billion riyals. He also emphasized that hosting the International Fisheries Exhibition aligns with the Kingdom’s leading role in the fisheries sector and its commitment to establishing a global platform that brings together experts in the field.

The exhibition will feature technical workshops with the participation of international speakers, companies, and universities to discuss various topics, including fisheries sustainability, aquaculture development, seafood industry advancements, localization of modern technologies and processing industries, as well as the manufacturing of fishing equipment and tools. Additionally, awareness initiatives will be conducted to promote the consumption of fish products.

Finally, this fourth edition of the exhibition has attracted approximately 4,000 local and international investors and businesspersons from 21 countries, along with more than 120 global and local companies.
