KSA is Strongly Present at Shanghai Global Food Trade Exhibition
Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) participated in the 2023 Shanghai Global Food Trade Exhibition.
Held in China from November 8-10, 2023, the event saw 7 government bodies and 15 national companies.
They represented sectors like dairy, poultry, fish, shrimp, and dates.
Organized by National Program
Abdulmajeed Al Shehri from the National Livestock and fisheries Development Program said that National Program coordinated the Kingdom’s participation.
Additionally, key government entities took part in the event. They included: the Saudi Export Development Authority, “Made in Saudi” program, National Center for Palms and Dates, Agricultural Development Fund, Export-Import Bank, Federation of Saudi Chambers, and King Abdullah University for Science and Technology.
KSA Goals of Participation
KSA participation aimed to support private sector companies in marketing Saudi products in priority global markets, like China.
In addition, KSA participation focused on establishing supply deals and trade exchanges to increase Saudi non-oil exports and improve the trade balance.
Promoting Investment Opportunities
Al Shehri highlighted the event’s role in promoting KSA investment opportunities.
Furthermore, it provided a platform to meet major investors and relevant Chinese government bodies, fostering investment and trade cooperation.

The Shanghai International Food Trade Exhibition is a leading trade fair in the food and beverage industry.
Moreover, it is an important platform for entering the global market.
Also, the recently ended event featured over 3,000 exhibitors. Approximately 150,000 visitors from over 50 countries attended the 25th consecutive event.
