Riyadh Airlines to Expand Its Direct Flight Network
The CEO of Riyadh Airlines, Tony Douglas, announced plans to expand the direct flight network, aiming to connect Riyadh with 110 air destinations within 5 years, reported Aleqtsad.
Douglas stated that it is unacceptable for Riyadh to lack connections to destinations like Tokyo, Shanghai, and Australia, pointing out that the Saudi economy is the fastest growing among the G20 nations. Therefore, it deserves better connectivity.
He previously confirmed that the company will add new destinations each time it receives a new delivery of aircraft. This is expected to link all major capitals in Europe, many secondary cities, all major cities on the North American east coast, Canada, all major Asian cities, and all major cities in the Indian subcontinent.
“The reality today is that Riyadh is simply not well enough connected. You cannot currently travel directly to Tokyo or Sydney, for example. Therefore, Riyadh Airlines takes this responsibility upon itself for a comprehensive connection of the world’s major cities to the Kingdom,” added the CEO.

Narrow-Body Aircraft
