Remat Al-Riyadh, stc Sign Contract on Parking Lots in KSA
Remat Al-Riyadh Development Company has signed a partnership contract with solutions by stc on parking lots in KSA, reported Al Madina.
Solutions by stc is a leading company in providing digital transformation services in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
It also spearheads a local and global alliance with one of the world’s largest parking operators.
Remat Al-Riyadh Development Company is the developmental arm of the Riyadh Municipality and the strategic enabler for the private sector.
Objectives of Partnership
The 10 year contract partnership aims for a project to establish, manage, operate, and maintain public car parks in Riyadh. This will be the first phase of the general plan for public vehicle parking.
The project, signed at the Riyadh Municipality, includes 24,000 parking spaces on public streets.
Moreover, ensuring the comfort of residents and aiming to reduce random parking within neighborhoods, the project aims to establish 140,000 managed parking spaces in residential neighborhoods. These parking spaces will also prevent the spillover of cars into areas adjacent to commercial streets and areas.
Furthermore, the scope of work involves monitoring and managing these parking spaces to ensure compliance with security and safety standards and adherence to parking instructions and guidelines.
Employing the latest digital technologies and best global operational practices will improve the urban landscape of Riyadh and enhance the overall experience of its residents and visitors.
The project will focus on the establishment, development, management, and operation of smart public car parking lots by integrating smart city elements, adopting modern technologies, and preparing the necessary infrastructure.
Mayor of Riyadh
Faisal bin Abdulaziz bin Ayyaf, Mayor of Riyadh and Chairman of Remat Al-Riyadh, confirmed that this regulatory step will mark a qualitative leap in organizing and managing parking.
It will also contribute to reducing random parking in commercial streets, preventing the spillover of cars into adjacent residential neighborhoods. Moreover, it will improve the urban landscape of the capital and enhance the fluidity of movement.

Abdullah Abudawood, CEO of Remat Al-Riyadh Development Company, stated that this contract is the first phase of an integrated project.
This project aims at organizing public parking in Riyadh and implementing the strategy of the regional municipality.
This strategy includes building and developing the parking infrastructure through establishing parking lots, improving sidewalks, and providing pedestrian pathways.
