Grand Hyatt The Red Sea Expands Saudi Arabia’s Luxury Tourism

The opening of Grand Hyatt The Red Sea marks another significant milestone in the expansion of Saudi Arabia’s luxury hospitality landscape, adding a new dimension to the development of Shura Island.

A New Standard for Luxury Hospitality

Developed by Red Sea Global (RSG), the resort expands the destination’s accommodation and leisure offering while introducing its largest purpose-built venue for events.

With 430 rooms, suites, and villas, the property combines premium accommodation with an extensive selection of dining venues and family-oriented amenities.

Its event infrastructure further distinguishes the resort, featuring more than 2,400 square meters of dedicated function space, including a 1,390-square-meter grand ballroom, a 683-square-meter junior ballroom, conference rooms, and outdoor venues.

These facilities position the property to accommodate a diverse range of gatherings, from international conferences and exhibitions to weddings and private celebrations.

How Is Saudi Arabia Expanding Its Business Tourism Sector?

The resort’s opening also stands as a testament to Red Sea Global’s efforts to develop the infrastructure needed to accommodate a broader range of visitors.

Its event facilities are poised to enhance the destination’s capacity to host international conferences, corporate gatherings, and major occasions, complementing its appeal to leisure travelers.

Red Sea Global Group CEO John Pagano said the development introduces a globally recognized premium hospitality brand while expanding the destination’s ability to accommodate business events.

He noted that the investment in facilities for both leisure and business travelers supports Saudi Arabia’s emergence as an international tourism and events destination.

How Is Shura Island Expanding Its Waterfront Appeal?

The resort’s location further connects its hospitality offering to Shura Island‘s expanding waterfront and leisure infrastructure.

Located near Shura Marina, it provides access to a growing yachting hub with 159 berths accommodating yachts of up to 125 meters.

The surrounding island also offers a wider selection of retail and dining experiences, including La Guérite restaurant and beach club.

Drawing on the atmosphere of the French Riviera, the venue adds a waterfront leisure and dining dimension to the destination’s growing hospitality landscape.

Driving Saudi Arabia’s Tourism Growth

The resort’s opening forms part of Red Sea Global‘s broader push to establish The Red Sea as an international tourism destination built around luxury hospitality and regenerative tourism.

With 12 resorts now receiving guests, the development is gradually expanding its capacity to accommodate different visitor segments and deliver a broader range of experiences.

Grand Hyatt The Red Sea enriches this momentum through facilities that serve leisure tourism alongside business events and corporate gatherings.

This unparallelled visitor appeal creates opportunities to support economic diversification, stimulate tourism-related activity, generate employment, and advance the Kingdom’s long-term objectives for the sector.
