Red Sea Global (RSG), the developer behind the regenerative tourism projects AMAALA and The Red Sea, has unveiled a strategic partnership with Marriott International, Inc. to introduce The Ritz-Carlton, AMAALA.
According to RSG, this is the fourth collaboration between the two companies, following the recent launches of The St. Regis Red Sea Resort, Nujuma—a Ritz-Carlton Reserve—and the signing of The Red Sea EDITION.
Scheduled to open in 2025, The Ritz-Carlton, AMAALA will be located at the northernmost point of Triple Bay, highlighting the brand’s signature service and design. Additionally, the property will feature 391 guestrooms, with 80 percent offering stunning water-facing views, as well as options overlooking Marina Village and the mountains.
Ritz-Carlton AMAALA
AMAALA continues to set a new standard in the world of wellness travel and luxury coastal lifestyle with the addition of its latest hotel brand, The Ritz-Carlton AMAALA, our largest property at the destination. “Guests will enjoy a sense of calm and rejuvenation as they enjoy the hotel’s many facilities,” said RSG Group chief executive John Pagano.
“AMAALA is set to become a unique, holistic wellness destination, reflecting the growing demand for luxury experiences in Saudi Arabia’s emerging markets,” said Jerome Briet, Marriott International’s Chief Development Officer for Europe, Middle East & Africa.
The luxury property will be set within a landscape of natural sand dunes, which the developer has carefully preserved. The design of the resort will integrate seamlessly with the natural surroundings with a façade that maximizes views of the sea from multiple vantage points. The dunes will also serve as a native canopy offering both internal and external shaded spaces for guests to enjoy.
Designed by Foster + Partners, The Ritz-Carlton, AMAALA is expected to reflect the local architecture of Al Wajh, the nearby seaside town on the Red Sea. Moreover, the sophisticated aesthetic will embody timeless elegance and thoughtfully blend traditional influences, architecture, interior design, and craftsmanship.
Fitness, Recreational Centers
The Ritz-Carlton, AMAALA will offer various dining venues, including sunset restaurants overlooking the Red Sea. It will include fitness and a spa, family pools, a rock pool, and state-of-the-art event spaces, accommodating up to 1,500 guests for weddings, conferences, and corporate events. The resort will also feature extensive fitness, sports, and wellness facilities, including outdoor activities.
Phase One of AMAALA, centered around the Triple Bay masterplan, is moving forward, with the first guests anticipated in 2025. This phase will feature eight resorts, offering over 1,400 rooms. Upon full completion, AMAALA will provide more than 4,000 hotel rooms, 1,200 luxury residences, upscale retail spaces, gourmet dining and various recreational amenities.
