Prince of Riyadh inaugurates the International Cybersecurity Forum 2022

On behalf of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Prince of Riyadh, Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, inaugurated this morning (Wednesday) the work of the second edition of the International Cyber ​​Security Forum.

The forum is organized by the National Cyber ​​Security Authority, under the slogan “Rethinking Global Cyber ​​Arrangements.” It will last for two days, with the participation of 120 high-level international speakers from more than 100 countries.

In his speech at the opening of the forum, the governor of Riyadh said: “The cybersecurity sector is witnessing rapid development, with which the pace of challenges facing this highly vital sector is rising, which makes strengthening and concerted international efforts in cybersecurity more urgent than ever.”

The prince stated that King Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz was keen for the Kingdom to advance its (Vision 2030) development, social, and economic gains in all fields, including cybersecurity, which the Crown Prince and Prime Minister Prince Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz have been extremely supportive. Increasingly, this resulted in the Kingdom ranking second internationally in the Global Cybersecurity Index for 2021.

The Governor of the Riyadh region called on all partners around the world to work with the International Cyber ​​Security Forum to reach a safe and reliable cyberspace that enables growth and prosperity for all the peoples of the world.

The two-day forum will witness the holding of more than 30 dialogue sessions dealing with five main themes discussing the prospects for change in the cyber landscape, cyber economies, geo-cyber development, the future of cyber work, and cyber security for all.

It is a global interactive platform for all stakeholders and specialists in the field of cybersecurity from representatives of the government and private sectors, non-profit organizations, and educational and academic circles around the world.

It aims to transfer knowledge on cybersecurity issues and build the foundations of cooperation between countries and organizations. The purpose is to enable the cybersecurity industry to become a sustainable industry that can face future challenges. This will boost the economic and social development of the Kingdom and the world.
