The Green Middle East Initiative aims to plant 40 billion trees: Saudi Minister of State for Foreign Affairs
Adel Al-Jubeir, Saudi Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, affirmed that the Green Middle East Initiative is ambitious and major.
“The Middle East initiative aims to plant 40 billion trees in the Middle East over the coming decades to contribute to reducing carbon and enhancing oxygen production,” Adel al-Jubeir said in an exclusive interview on Channel One.
Adel Al-Jubeir added: “We aim for the initiative to have a serious contribution to limiting the effects of climate change worldwide.”
Adel Al-Jubeir continued: “Saudi Arabia and Egypt play an instrumental role in the fight against climate change, and they give the film priority.”
Adel Al-Jubeir noted: “The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has 60 internal initiatives related to environmental and climatic issues.”
