On the Eve of “National Day” SPL Releases Stamps for Various Projects, Events
Saudi Post “SPL” has issued hundreds of postal and commemorative stamps reflecting key local and international events in Saudi Arabia. These stamps, including religious, national, cultural, artistic, and sports themes, have played a crucial role in celebrating these events, with National Day being a notable example.
Since its establishment, Saudi Post “SPL” has issued over 500 postage stamps documenting major national events and projects. In 2020, a stamp with augmented reality technology was released to commemorate Saudi Arabia’s G20 Summit presidency.
“SPL” has also set a Guinness World Record for the world’s largest postage stamp, measuring 5.95 square meters, surpassing the previous record of 4.11 square meters.
Issuing postcards with Taif rose scent technology highlights the progress in stamp manufacturing. Saudi postage stamps incorporate a “security feature” that deters counterfeiting. Moreover, this aids in identifying counterfeit stamps, and safeguards the institution’s rights and intellectual property.
