Taif province has announced the conclusion of Taif Rose Festival 2024 after a great number of successful showcases and activities that captivated one million visitors, reported Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
The authorities have successfully concluded the annual event that kicked off on Saturday April 28 and marked the participation of 80 exhibitors and farmers.
Visitors flocked to the 19th Festival at Al-Raddaf Park where roses are in full bloom, with its enchanting red-pink hue and fascinating aromas.
Organized by the Taif Rose Cooperative Society and Taif Municipality, the festival has featured stunning blooms of pink roses and impressive floral showcases.
The festival featured a magnificent turnout designed for Taif residents and domestic and international tourists.
To provide the visitors with seamless entertainment experience, the event included shopping stalls, a light show, local cuisines, and children’s zone.
The most impressive landmark of the festival was a stunning flower carpet located at the center of the park which has left visitors amazed. The wonder of the carpet basically lies in the fact that it has been crafted using over a million flower and rose seedlings, making it the largest in the history of the festival.
Moreover, the occasion highlighted the launch of the first edition of “Taifrosethon”, or Taif Rose Hackathon, representing a meeting point for all Taif Rose lovers.
The five-day Taifrosethon began on May 7 and organized several trainings and technical workshops covering trade, cultural heritage, and tourism.
It is noteworthy that the 2024 festival coincided with the rose-picking season that witnesses picking more than 200 million roses each season.
