National Water Company, Japanese Company Fuji Clean Sign MoU
The National Water Company and the Japanese company Fuji Clean signed a memorandum of understanding yesterday, reported Saudi Press Agency.
This memorandum aims to foster joint cooperation between the two parties in the transfer, localization, and development of sewage treatment technologies produced by Fuji Clean. The cooperation will cover their registration in the Kingdom as a global product. Consequently, this will enable its use in sewage treatment in the Kingdom and the region.
The Deputy Executive for the Projects and Technical Services Sector at the National Water Company, Mansour Abuthnain, explained that the memorandum of understanding falls within the framework of the company’s efforts to localize sewage treatment technologies. It also involves partnership, cooperation, and opening new horizons of work with all local and international entities.
Why the Japanese Technology?
He pointed out that the new Japanese technology is easy to operate and its costs are low. Moreover, it does not require large spaces. It can be used in remote areas and scattered population clusters according to a decentralized approach. It will contribute to expanding the spread of sewage services in the Kingdom.
He mentioned that the National Water Company, a national firm, aims through cooperation with the Japanese side to implement a program for the empowerment and localization of the technologies concerned by Fuji Clean. This is through creating training programs for engineers and technicians working at the water company, developing current competencies and national cadres, in cooperation with local and foreign sectors.
