King Abdulaziz Airport
Passports control in King Abdulaziz Airport in Jeddah, in cooperation with Jeddah Airports Company, opened a “Tourist Visa Lounge” area.
The establishment of this hall aims to facilitate procedures for arrivals by issuing visas upon arrival.
The Director General of Passports control Sulaiman bin Abdulaziz Al Yahya stressed the keenness of the General Directorate of Passports to provide the best services to those arriving to the Kingdom, and to provide a distinguished and easy experience from their arrival until their departure.
Nestled in the bustling city of Jeddah, the King Abdulaziz International Airport (KAIA) stands as a testament to the blend of modern infrastructure and cultural significance.
As the major air gateway for pilgrims heading to the holy cities of Makkah and Medina, the airport is not just a transit point but a part of a spiritual journey for millions.
Named after the founder of Saudi Arabia, King Abdulaziz Al Saud, the airport opened its doors in 1981. It was designed to handle the influx of Muslim pilgrims, particularly during the Hajj season. It is one of the largest annual human gatherings in the world.
Over the years, the airport has expanded and modernized to accommodate the growing number of visitors.
