The Museums Commission and the Saudi Geological Survey have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) as part of efforts to strengthen collaboration between national entities to support cultural and scientific fields in the Kingdom.

The agreement aims to enhance cooperation between the two parties in research, education, and training through the exchange of studies and research, as well as the organization of workshops and events that promote scientific and cultural awareness.
Additionally, the MoU seeks to provide knowledge support and exchange expertise in specialized fields, contributing to the dissemination of knowledge in the areas of museums and earth sciences and supporting educational activities targeted at visitors.
The MoU also includes the formation of a joint work team of specialists from both parties, with the possibility of seeking external expertise to implement detailed plans related to joint projects. A clear mechanism has also been identified for exchanging information and documents that support the implementation of the terms of cooperation between the two parties.
Al-Senussi explained that the MoU comes to enhance cooperation between the Museums Authority and the Geological Survey Authority in the fields of culture and geological sciences, pointing out the importance of scientific and cultural partnerships in enhancing the Kingdom’s identity and achieving sustainable development goals.
The MoU confirms the commitment of the Museums Authority and the Saudi Geological Survey to enhance cooperation in the academic, cultural and scientific fields, in a way that contributes to achieving the Kingdom’s national goals in developing the museums and geological sciences sectors and achieving sustainable development.
