Ministry of Culture, Entertainment Authority Launch Projects to Enhance Quality of Life
The Ministry of Culture and the General Entertainment Authority announced joint projects on four main tracks, aligning with Saudi Vision 2030’s goals to enhance quality of life and develop human capabilities.
The memorandum of understanding was signed today by Deputy Minister of Culture Hamed bin Mohammed Fayez and General Entertainment Authority CEO Faisal Bafarat, with support from Culture Minister Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan and GEA Chairman Turki bin Abdulmohsen Al-Sheikh.

First Pathway
The first pathway of the memorandum enhances the cooperation between the Film Commission and Riyadh Season’s strategic partner, Sela, with the aim of supporting producers working in the Al-Hosn Studios, one of the new zones of the season. It also aims to facilitate licensing procedures, integrate into the Film Commission’s production support program, and establish its office at the studio premises.

Second Path
The second path includes the Ministry of Culture supporting Riyadh Season by sponsoring the “1000 Seasons” fashion event with designer Elie Saab this November at THE VENUE, a new season area. The Ministry will also co-sponsor the Christian Dior Museum, hosted for the first time in Riyadh’s historic Al-Murabba district after New York and Paris. The museum will feature 14 sections of classic and new fashion items, along with a Christian Dior gift shop and café.

Third Path
The third path focuses on collaboration between the Ministry of Culture and the General Entertainment Authority to develop the Saudi oud industry, including support for the Riyadh Season Initiative and promotion of musical arts and traditional crafts. The fourth path aims to enhance the strategic partnership between the Music Authority and Merwas Studio, establishing the studio as a global hub for production and recording, while boosting national talent and attracting international artists.
On the other hand, Turki bin Abdulmohsen Al-Sheikh, Chairman of the General Entertainment Authority, announced that Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan, Minister of Culture, will sponsor the Golden Pen Award, which aims to adapt the most impactful literary works into films.
