The Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) has signed a memorandum of negotiations with Kazakhstan, in the Kazakh capital, Astana, reported the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
The signing ceremony marked the presence of IsDB President Dr. Mohammed Al-Jasser and Kazakh Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Economy Nurlan Baibazarov.
Al-Jasser also held a meeting with Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation Nurgan Nurgiyegitov to discuss the bilateral cooperation in boosting water management systems in Kazakhstan.
With an obvious focus on enhancing water cooperation, the discussions revolved around the following topics:
- Fostering sustainable water resource initiatives
- Promoting sustainable development goals in Kazakhstan
- Addressing the challenges posed by environmental changes
