A teacher from Makkah, Salem bin Sulaiman Masrahi, achieved second place in the Military Industries Innovation Award.
His invention, “Remote Control of Military Vehicles,” secured this position among 23 winners from 171 qualifiers at the World Defense Show 2024 in Riyadh.

The General Authority for Military Industries honored the winners during the second day of the event. Moreover, this initiative aims to foster innovation and enhance the Kingdom’s standing among the world’s most innovative nations.

The award featured seven main categories, focusing on various technological advancements in military applications.
Prize Distribution
The top 23 innovations were recognized with awards, including cash prizes ranging from 20,000 to 250,000 SAR, totaling 1.56 million SAR.
Broad Interest and Participation
Since its inception, the World Defense Show award has attracted a significant number of nominations, with more than 740 applications, of which 171 were selected for final evaluation.
Global Defense Exhibition
Consequently, the World Defense Show, organized by the General Authority for Military Industries, saw extensive participation from leading companies and officials worldwide. The event emphasizes integrated defense systems and aims to foster innovation, partnerships, and local talent development to meet the Kingdom’s strategic goals.
