– 4 ripe bananas
– 4-5 slices of bread (preferably stale or dry)
– 1/2 cup of cream (can be replaced with Greek yogurt or a mix of cream and milk)
– 1/4 cup of honey or to taste
– 1/2 teaspoon ground cardamom
– 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
– 1/4 cup of mixed nuts (almonds, walnuts, cashews), chopped
– 2 tablespoons of raisins (optional)
– 1 tablespoon of butter or ghee
– Additional honey, cream, and nuts for garnishing

Instructions
1. Prepare the Bread:
– Firstly, tear the bread into small pieces and place them in a large bowl.
– If the bread is fresh, you can dry it out in an oven at a low temperature until it becomes slightly crispy.
2. Mash the Bananas:
-Secondly, in a separate bowl, peel and mash the bananas until they are smooth.
3. Cook the Banana Mixture:
– Thirdly, In a large pan, melt the butter or ghee over medium heat.
-Fourthly, add the mashed bananas and cook for a few minutes until they start to soften.
– Sixthly, stir in the honey, cardamom, and cinnamon. Mix well.
4. Combine Banana with Bread:
– Seventhly, add the bread pieces to the banana mixture in the pan.
– Eighthly, mix well until the bread is completely soaked with the banana mixture and begins to break down. (This should form a thick, porridge-like consistency)
– If the mixture seems too dry, you can add a little more cream or milk to adjust the consistency
5. Add Nuts and Raisins:
– Ninthly, stir in the chopped nuts and raisins (if using).
– Finally, cook for another few minutes until everything is well combined and heated through.
6. Serve:
– Transfer the Masoub to a serving dish.
– Garnish with a drizzle of honey, a dollop of cream, and a sprinkle of chopped nuts.
– Serve warm or at room temperature.
Optional Variations
– Fruit Toppings: Feel free to top your Masoub with fresh fruits like sliced strawberries or kiwi for an added flavor and texture.
