KSrelief Establishes Gaza Emergency Camp to Shelter Storm-Displaced Families
The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has set up a new emergency camp in central Gaza to provide shelter for hundreds of families displaced by severe weather and flooding.
The new camp houses more than 250 tents to support hundreds of families whose makeshift shelters have been destroyed by powerful storms and flooding, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
The effort falls within a broader Saudi-led campaign to provide aid to the Palestinian people. The Saudi Center for Culture and Heritage, KSrelief’s implementing partner in Gaza, is taking charge of the initiative.

In response, beneficiaries expressed their sincere gratitude to Saudi Arabia, emphasizing that KSrelief support constituted a “lifeline” that restored a sense of security following prolonged and severe suffering.
It has also helped protect them from the brutal winter weather and shifting climates that have only added to their deep pain, they said.
These emergency shelters in Gaza, distributed through KSrelief, represent the Kingdom’s latest effort to mitigate the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

Amid unprecedented humanitarian challenges, this aid is vital for displaced families, underscoring Saudi Arabia’s steadfast commitment to the Palestinian people.
Over the past week, heavy rains and flooding have battered Gaza, exacerbating the already dire humanitarian conditions for tens of thousands of displaced Palestinians.
According to Gaza’s Health Ministry, a two-week-old baby has died from hypothermia and at least 11 other people have perished in building collapses caused by the severe weather. International aid agencies have urged the immediate flow of more aid supplies into Gaza.
