KSA to Host 27th World Energy Congress

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by its Ministry of Energy, will host the 27th World Energy Congress. The event will extend from October 26 to 29, 2026, in Riyadh.

The World Energy Congress has been a leading and comprehensive event in the energy sector that supports energy transition for over a century. It also connects stakeholders from all energy interests worldwide.

 

Energy Minister  Abdulaziz bin Salman expressed delight in hosting the event. Moreover, he emphasized the congress’s significance and Saudi Arabia’s commitment to achieving its Vision 2030 goals.

Kingdom’s Strategic Vision

Mike Howard, President of the World Energy Council’s Leaders Council, praised Saudi Arabia’s competitive bid. He said that the Kingdom’s bid reflects its strategic vision to the World Energy Congress. He highlighted the Kingdom’s strong institutional and government support.

Furthermore, Angela Wilkinson, Secretary-General and CEO of the World Energy Council, congratulated Saudi Arabia on its successful bid to host the World Energy Congress. She stressed the importance of collaborative energy sector transformations.

Preparations for the Event

After the 26th Congress in Rotterdam, Netherlands, Saudi Arabia becomes the next official host. The Kingdom will also organize a pavilion at this significant upcoming event.

After April 2024, the event will be hosted every two years.

Bringing together more than 150 executive speakers, more than 250 speakers, 70 ministers, and more than 7,000 international energy stakeholders, the World Energy Conference connects sectors, geographies, and systems to achieve a more equitable energy transition.
