KSA Expands Interest in Environmental and Climate Issues

The Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture, Engineer Abdul Rahman Al-Fadhli, confirmed that the Kingdom has striven in the past few years, through its Vision 2030, to expand its interest in environmental and climate issues.

This comes out of its pioneering role and regional and international responsibility. In addition, it took the initiative to launch local and regional initiatives to enhance this interest.

He also referred to the initiatives launched by the Kingdom, including the Green Saudi Initiative and the Green Middle East Summit. The Crown Prince, Mohammed bin Salman announced the establishment of regional Center for Dust and Sand Storm Warning. This center aims to help exchange and develop information and support plans and programs, at the regional and international levels.

Meanwhile, executive Director of the Regional Center, Jamaan bin Saad Al-Qahtani, explained that the establishment of the Regional Center for Dust and Sand Storm Warning main goal is to enhance the accuracy of forecasts for dust and sand phenomena.

It is noteworthy that the conference will conclude its work tomorrow with three working sessions.
