KSA Defence Minister Inaugurates Latest Advanced “Hawk T165” Jet

The Minister of Defense Prince Khalid bin Salman inaugurated the latest advanced “Hawk T165” jet in the Royal Saudi Air Force. It is worth noting that that jet was assembled and manufactured entirely with national hands in the Kingdom. Twenty-five local companies collaborated in producing over 3,114 components of the aircraft.

 

Visual Presentation about Aircraft

The Defence Minister witnessed a visual presentation on the final assembly program of the aircraft in the Kingdom. The presentation showcased the contribution to assembling 22 advanced “Hawk T165” jets at King Abdulaziz Air Base in the Eastern Sector.

Notably, ten of these jets will be allocated to the Saudi Falcons team, part of the Royal Saudi Air Force. Additionally, the presentation also included a display of the Saudi Falcons team’s journey and achievements on the occasion of its silver jubilee, marking 25 years since its establishment.

 

 Salman Unveils New Identity for Saudi Falcons Team Aircraft

The Defence Minister unveiled the new identity of the Saudi Falcons team’s aircraft. Moreover, he met with team members who have contributed to its success over the past 25 years. He highlighted that this achievement is part of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s ongoing efforts to transfer and localize technologies in the defense industry.

Saudi-Russian Discussions in Military Industries

In the same context, Saudi Defence Minister discussed with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of Russia, Denis Manturov, the avenues of cooperation in military industries field. Moreover, they explored promising opportunities in the military industries sector and reviewed the bilateral relations.

Saudi-Pakistani Cooperation in Defense Area

The Defense Minister also reviewed with the Pakistani Defense Minister, Anwar Ali Hyder, the historical relations between the two nations. Additionally, they discussed prospects for cooperation in defense areas and addressed various regional and international issues. Besides, the meeting witnessed the signing of two memoranda of understanding between the defense ministries of both countries.

Saudi-Korean Talks

Additionally, Saudi Arabia’s Defence Minister and the Minister of National Defense of the Republic of Korea, Shin Won-sik, covered the bilateral relations between the two countries. Furthermore, the discussed ways to enhance military and defense cooperation. Notably, they attended the signing ceremony of a memorandum of understanding in the field of defense industries.
