KSA Defense Minister Meets His Slovak Counterpart

At today’s World Defense Exhibition in Riyadh, His Excellency Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, met Slovak Minister of Defense Robert Kalinac. During the meeting, KSA-Slovakia relationship was reviewed.

In addition, the two ministers discussed cooperation in the defense fields and a number of regional and international issues.

From the Slovak side, the Ambassador of the Slovak Republic to the Kingdom, Rudolf Michalka, the general Secretary of Ministry of Defense office, Peter Krajicerovic, and the Director Minister of Defense office, Karen Silberhorn, attended the meeting.

The Saudi delegation at the meeting included His Highness Prince Abdul Rahman bin Mohammed bin Ayyaf, Deputy Minister of Defence, His Excellency the Chief of the General Staff, Lieutenant General Fayyad bin Hamid Al-Ruwaili, His Excellency the Assistant Minister of Defense, Engineer Talal bin Abdullah Al-Otaibi, and His Excellency the Assistant Minister of Defense for Executive Affairs, Dr. Khalid bin Hussein Al-Bayari, as well as the Director General of the Office of the Minister of Defense, Hisham bin Abdulaziz bin Saif.

 

KSA-Slovakia Relationship

The relationship between the KSA and Slovakia has witnessed remarkable development, especially following the official opening of Slovakia’s Embassy in Riyadh. Trade between the two countries experienced significant growth, reaching SAR 1.2 billion in 2022, representing a 56% increase.

Another important aspect of the KSA-Slovakia relationship is cooperation in the field of energy. Saudi Arabia, as a major oil producer, has been working with Slovakia to explore opportunities for cooperation in the energy sector.

Furthermore, the two countries have also been working together on various regional and international issues, including security, counter-terrorism, and regional stability.

Overall, the relationship between Saudi Arabia and Slovakia has been steadily growing and deepening in recent years, with both countries expressing their commitment to further enhancing their bilateral ties in various fields.
