Crown Prince, Ukrainian President Discuss Ukrainian-Russian Crisis

Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman got a phone call from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy during which they discussed bilateral relations, reported Saudi Press Agency. The two leaders also discussed developments in the Ukrainian-Russian crisis, as well as efforts aimed at resolving it. Saudi Arabia has been keen on delivering aid to Ukraine during the Ukrainian-Russian crisis.

King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) signed an agreement with the UN World Food Program (WFP) to support its operations in Ukraine last April.

The agreement, worth $10 million, was signed by Dr. Abdullah Al-Rabeeah, supervisor-general of KSrelief, and Cindy McCain, the WFP’s executive director.

According to Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the project aims to provide food assistance through the delivery of meals to orphanages, hospitals, and displacement centers in Ukraine.

It is estimated to benefit 141,000 individuals from the most vulnerable groups affected by the dire humanitarian conditions in Ukraine.

Moreover, the Kingdom has been sending planes loaded with aid to Ukraine. The 19th Saudi relief plane carried electrical appliances, with a total weight of 51 tons. Likewise, the seventeenth Saudi relief plane carried 60 tons of relief supplies including electrical appliances.
