King Khalid Foundation: Urgent Support as Social Services

With the pandemic of coronavirus, many industries got affected, especially the non-profit sector or as know as NGO companies. This industry is considered recent compared to other industries. It usually serves a social cause, and the position of this industry comes in the middle between privet and governmental. It can be named as non-profit or non-governmental.

The King Khalid Foundation is one of the pioneers in the industry of NGOs in Saudi Arabia. It participates in many developing projects and social causes. With corona time, the foundation announced its willingness to provide support to other NGOs in the field. This initiative came as part of the responsibilities that the foundation took towards society.

The support will be as a financial fund to develop social projects that will help the economy as well as financial support for the healthcare industry in order to improve the performance and capacity.

Besides, the board of trustees of the foundation agreed that during this time, everyone is responsible and should collaborate for a better economy, better health, and a better country. This support came as a reaction to the king’s vision about the importance of individuals.

On the other hand, the foundation has postponed its program to 2021. The program focuses on strategic thinking for sustainability by providing an award for each year. The program was designed to raise the competence between the participants, but they will have continuous evaluation until the next year.

The foundation is assuring its support to all participants and members through providing consultancies, financial support, and different forms of collaborations to face this pandemic.
