Kaaba filled with worshipers for the first time since the start of the pandemic
For the first time since the beginning of the Coronavirus pandemic, worshipers and pilgrims fill the courtyard at the Grand Mosque on Tuesday, 27 April.
The General Presidency for the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque increased the capacity of the Mataf courtyard (virtual paths from 14 to 25 and the four closest paths to the Holy Kaaba were allocated for the elderly and people with disabilities). Electric vehicles were available for those who needed them, in addition to launching several electronic applications to enrich the experience.
The General President for the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque, Dr Abdul-Rahman Al-Sudais, called on all concerned departments to put more efforts into the services, given the rainy situation last week. He urged all those coming to the country to adhere to the precautionary measures.
