Jeddah Enhances Visitors’ Experience with 5 Waterfronts, 442 Parks
The Jeddah Municipality has made preparations to provide visitors with an immersive experience during summer 2024, reported the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
For this purpose, the Municipality prepared 5 waterfronts and 442 parks across Jeddah, in accordance with the highest standards to receive visitors and meet their needs.
In conjunction with Saudi Summer Program, local and international visitors are flocking to the Kingdom to enjoy waterfronts and parks, as well as the Jeddah Season events, which offer various entertainment events that suit all family members.
Jeddah Waterfronts
Jeddah waterfronts involve vast spaces, seating areas, fountains, children play areas, green spaces, water games, beaches, sports areas, bathrooms, restaurant and cafe areas, and walking and biking trails.
The Jeddah Municipality has been keen to provide a variety of entertainment options in residential districts, by providing a number of quality parks within the Bahja (Joy) Project, under the supervision of the Ministry of Municipalities and Housing. This project aims to transform unexploited spaces into active areas.
Prince Majid Park
Prince Majid Park is one of the prominent entertainment destinations in Jeddah. It is the largest park in the city, with an area of 130,000 square meters. The Park is one of the city humanization projects that aim to increase the individual’s share of green spaces, and promotes physical exercise due to the presence of walking trails.
During summer, Prince Majid Park welcomes thousands of visitors who like to enjoy the Jeddah Season events, as the Park has become a unique attraction for such seasonal activities.
In addition to walking trails, Prince Majid Park includes an interactive fountain, seating areas, and a wide variety of restaurants and gift stores, as well as vast green spaces and recreational activities.
Jeddah Season 2024, running from June 28 until August 17, aims to promote domestic tourism and presents a unique entertainment experience to visitors through investing in all the elements of a tourist, historical, cultural and coastal city. Hence, it provides diverse events that fit visitors of all ages, especially children and families who enjoy their time in entertainment activities.
