Japanese Artist Kusama Yayoi to Participate at AlUla Festival

 

The AlUla Festival for Recreation and Relaxation, a much-anticipated event in Saudi Arabia, is all set to captivate its audience with an immersive journey into the infinite reflections of Japanese artist Kusama Yayoi’s breathtaking art installation called Brilliance of the Souls 2014. This installation, part of her “Infinity Mirror Room” series, epitomizes the flourishing art scene in the Kingdom. It will be showcased from October 19 to November 4, 2023, in the heart of the historical city of AlUla.

Upon entering the exhibition, visitors will discover a small deceptive space with reflective surfaces and water surrounding the central platform. As the door closes behind them, the ordinary world fades away and they are instantly enveloped in an enchanting wonderland.

Multicolored spheres of light hang at different heights and intervals from the ceiling, evoking images of celestial bodies, stars, planets, and galaxies. Viewers are transported to a boundless ethereal dimension where the boundaries of space and time become blurred.
